 Drink 

 

Ceddy’s Tropical Storm

 

1- ½ ounces pineapple vodka

¾ ounce Agua Chiltepin™

¼ cup pineapple juice

¼ cup ginger ale

squeeze of lime

 

Shake or stir and serve over ice in a margarita or wine glass. Garnish with a pineapple slice and cherry. Put on your grass skirt and prepare to party.

 

Tio Bloody Mary

 

1-1/2  oz. vodka

3 oz. Clamato®, V8® or tomato juice

½ to 1  oz. Agua Chiltepin™

 

Salt the rim (optional) of a pint glass. Fill a separate mixing glass with ice and add above mix to fill. Shake and pour into salted glass. Garnish with large olives, hot yellow peppers, celery, and whatever else is lurking in the back of your fridge…  ¡Adios hangover!

 

Better Beer a.k.a. Michelada

 

Beer + Lime Juice + Agua Chiltepin + Clamato® (optional) over the rocks in a pint glass with a salted rim. Drink, repeat….

 Food 

 

Burro Burger

 

1 lb ground beef

½ cup Agua Chiltepin™

½ tsp oregano

½ tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

2 tbsp finely crushed tortilla chips

 

In a mixing bowl, thoroughly mix all ingredients except for the tortilla chips. Add the tortilla chips and gently combine. Grill to desired doneness with or without cheese. Garnish with tomato, avocado, lettuce, etc, and serve on a toasted bun. ¡Muy Bueno!

 

Rice de Gloria

 

1 cup rice

2 tsp oil

½ cup sliced green onions

1 cup vegetable or chicken

broth

1 cup Agua Chiltpin™

1 can fire roasted tomatoes

½ tsp salt

½ tsp garlic powder

1 tsp oregano or ¼ cup chopped cilantro

 

Combine all ingredients in a 4-6 qt pot, bring to a boil, cover and reduce to a simmer. Cook until liquid is absorbed (about 45 min). Fluff and serve.

Nachos

 

16 oz American cheese

1 – 10-3/4  oz can cheddar

cheese soup

4 oz can chopped green chiles

1 cup chunky salsa

1 cup Agua Chiltepin™

 

Cut cheese into cubes and place in a microwave safe bowl. Add the rest of the ingredients and microwave for 3 minutes on high. Stir and continue to heat/stir in 1 minute intervals until melted and smooth. Serve warm with tortilla chips.  Not necessarily a “heart healthy” dish, but damn tasty.
